Our Story
The Alexis Bendel story begins with its namesake and founder, Alexis Bendel. Alexis always had an affinity for fashion, with childhood memories filled with sketching shoe and bag designs. However, the New York native was dissatisfied with the lack of reasonably-priced luxury goods available to the modern woman.
After graduating top of her class from Parsons School of Design, Alexis began working for a prestigious fashion label. She quickly moved up the ranks, becoming head accessories designer by age 25. While Alexis appreciated the craft of luxury design, her creative spirit yearned to make beautiful fashions attainable to all.
In 2022, Alexis left her job and began Alexis Bendel® out of a small New York City shop. Her first collection focused on elegantly designed handbags and purses made from premium Italian leathers and fabrics.
